West Valley is holding its first K-4 Career Week the week of May 22 through May 26, 2023. Along with classroom presentations from parents and community members and an exciting Careers on Wheels Day on the 26th, there will be other fun events and activities throughout the week. Our Career Week Spirit days are some fun dress-up opportunities focused on career exploration in which all students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to participate. It will definitely be a fun week for all!

Our school wellness policy is a guideline showing how our school is trying to make the healthy choice, the easy choice for our children. Parents are invited to help update the school wellness policy and to put it into action. Main topics will include nutrition guidelines, nutrition education & promotion, health enhancement, physical activity and goals related to those topics.
Our next meeting is TOMORROW at 3:30 in the Middle School commons. Questions can be emailed to hdurbin@westvalleyschool.com
West Valley K-4 students participated in the Big Sky Fit Kids tracking challenge, which encourages daily physical activity and eating 5 fruit/veggie servings. Classes that successfully completed the challenge were entered into a drawing and Ms. Kowalka’s class was selected for a $500 grant! Thank you to the program sponsors Albertsons and Big Sky State Games!
Today is National School Principals’ Day! Thank you to West Valley’s principals, Richard Gross and Tina Blair, for their dedication to students, staff, and West Valley. We appreciate all your hard work and leadership!
Long time West Valley educator, Marycaye Dover, has announced her retirement. West Valley would like to thank Mrs. Dover for her many years of service to West Valley. She will be missed! Mrs. Dover has written a retirement letter to the community which can be found at https://5il.co/1td82
