On May 8, our K-4 students brought joy and color to our school during Chalk the Walk! It was a fun-filled day outside as they decorated the sidewalks with beautiful artwork and inspiring messages. Our K-4 students have been working hard toward earning our school’s certification as a Certified Kindness School through the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation! This special recognition is given to schools that make kindness a core part of their culture by completing kindness-focused lessons and activities throughout the year.
On Thursday, May 8, our elementary students will complete the final step toward certification with a schoolwide kindness event called “Chalk the Walk.” During this RAKtivity (Random Act of Kindness activity), students will head outside to decorate our sidewalks with positive messages and colorful drawings meant to uplift, encourage, and spread joy to everyone who passes by.
We’re so proud of our students for embracing kindness and making our school a brighter place! Be sure to check out their beautiful artwork on our sidewalks! In an effort to truly brighten the day for others on May 8, we encourage students to wear bright or neon colors.
