School time is almost here! This is a friendly reminder that breakfast and lunch meals provided by West Valley School will NOT be free this year. Breakfast will again be $1.75 and lunch $3.00, with milk only $0.35. Please make sure that your family's account has money BEFORE having your student’s use our food service. You can pay online through our website or pay with check/cash at the office. If you believe your family would qualify for free or reduced breakfast/lunch, please go to the West Valley School website and fill out our online application. You will log in to your parent portal and choose “More” from the menu and then click on “Meal Benefits” to start completing the application. Further help for completing the application can be found under the "Parents" section on the website. Your help is greatly appreciated!

There is an additional new feature for sports registration- don't forget to fill out the additional required forms! The Registration Form and Concussion Form need to be filled out and signed online. It is in the same place as making a payment, just scroll down.

West Valley School is looking to hire in two positions: -Middle School PE Teacher -Para-educator If you are interested, or you know someone who might be, please go to https://westvalleyschool.submittable.com/submit to begin the application process.

Registration is now open for Football and Volleyball on Infinite Campus. Go to Store > Shop Middle School > and select sport. Registration/concussion forms can be completed online and fees paid all in one stop!

West Valley School Board has a vacancy due to the resignation of Board member Chad Grace. There is two years left in his term, if you are interested in possibly being appointed to the school board send a letter of interest to: Clewellen@westvalleyschool.com The letter needs to be to Cecilia by 4:00 pm,Wednesday, June 1. You need to be a registered voter and live within the boundaries of the West Valley School District to qualify. Any questions call the school at: 406-755-7239 and ask for Cal or Cecilia. Thanks, Cal The candidate chosen will need to run for the position next spring, since this is an appointed position. If they are elected next spring they would need to run in the spring of 2024 and that would be a three year term if the are elected.

Good morning! After tabulating the votes yesterday, here is the preliminary results of the bond vote: Yes votes-688 No votes-863 This is disappointing, but we will persevere and continue to work with the community for the best outcome for our kids! Thanks to all of you who supported the bond and helped promote it! School board members voting results: Two-3 year terms: Marilyn Hedstrom-804 Jeff Meredith-763 Stefanie Hanson-656 Meghan Brewster-354 Congratulations to Marilyn and Jeff and thank you to Meghan and Stefanie for running for the board! Today is the day we count the votes for the bond and school board positions! If you haven’t turned in your ballot, it’s not too late. Bring it to the school today and your vote will still be counted. Thank you! Cal

On Monday, May 2, 3rd and 4th grade students will no longer line up to enter the building from the eastside blacktop area of the elementary school. Students who are dropped off will now enter the building through the front doors and go through the foyer to the blacktop area located at the back of the school. All elementary students will stay on the playground until school begins. For dismissal, students will not be released through the eastside doors. Students will exit the building through the front doors or the courtyard doors near the front of the school. All students not riding the bus will be picked up at the front of the school. This way, we will be able to increase supervision and alleviate some other safety concerns. Please do not drop off or pick up your child in the gravel area east of the fence.
